Hybrids - Kolsch, Blonde & Golden Ales
Often brewed as an entry point for people used to standard American lagers, but really, these are beers that really show the range of what yeast strains can do. People are used to thinking dark and rich for ale, but these are light, easy drinking, golden or even pale straw ales. Often with subtle fruity notes derived from the ale yeast, that can be complex enough for any beer nerd.
