Pilsner
The name “pilsner” is probably one of the most overused words in beer culture. From its origins in Bohemia in 1842 to today’s mass-produced lagers, the word is on more beer labels than any other style. Craft breweries have taken this beer and created some very palatable examples, and Alberta has a variety of renowned foreign versions as well. Our winner, the Establishment Brewery’s Pilsgnar, uses three different German hops to create the floral/herbal qualities of a classic German Pils. - David Nuttall
