Pinot Gris/Grigio
The best-known examples of this grape are from Northern Italy and Alsace. Styles range from light, crisp wines meant for aperitivo to full bodied, ageable wines which can be enjoyed in many situations. This year, there were several delicious Italian bottlings from Abruzzo and Pavia, and several from the Okanagan Valley, which has made a specialty of this versatile grape. - Mary Bailey
