Red Ales

It used to be difficult to find a red ale in this province. However, as brewers expand their repertoire with more styles, this beer has developed a niche. With a mixture of malts and sometimes an extra helping of hops, it falls in the mid-range between light and dark beers. Bitter Sister’s Clifford The Big Red Ale provided a winner with its good balance and slightly dark caramel flavour.
